Extra Music is a company engaged in recording and publishing sound recordings.
It was founded in 2002 in Kaštela, Croatia.
The company is involved in the production and release of rock, pop rock, blues, jazz, film music, theatre music, as well as traditional and classical music.
Since becoming more actively involved in publishing in 2020, its catalogue currently includes around fifty released albums and singles, with new releases announced, while some albums that came out in physical format (CD) are still awaiting digital release. Special emphasis is placed on preserving Croatian traditional music (ojkavica – the oldest style of singing in Croatia, klapa a cappella singing, and mandolin-tamburitza ensembles).
Extra Music has received one nomination for the Porin Award (the Croatian discography award) in the Folklore Music category. All releases have been published digitally (DD) on all platforms worldwide, some also in physical format (CD), and the vinyl (LP) releases are.
The company nurtures teamwork that includes a wide range of collaborators needed for realizing a music release – musicians, photographers, graphic designers, web designers, and more. Although Extra Music has its own studio, it also collaborates with other studios, producers, sound engineers, composers, and creative groups.
Through public relations, it cooperates with all media, including radio stations, TV channels, online portals, as well as other record labels with which licensed releases have been produced.
As part of its activities, Extra Music is also engaged in the promotion and presentation of releases, as well as in fostering blues music in collaboration with the Croatian Blues Forces. It is the founder of the Srdela Blues Festival in Kaštela.
